"Learning by doing" is the standard for most Kent Career Technical Center programs. A majority of in-school facilities give students the chance to develop and polish important employability skills by serving the needs of the public. Community-focused service facilities offered on-site at KCTC include a Full-Service Credit Union Branch, Retail Store, Cafeteria, Full-Service Restaurant, Beauty Salon & Spa, Bakery, and Auto Body Shop. In addition, students in Residential Construction build top-quality homes sold to the public at the end of their two-year program.
