The purpose of visitations is to provide awareness of
careers and the related programs available
at KCTC.
Student tours and visits are arranged through home school
counselors.
Cluster Visits:
A "Cluster" is a group of related areas
of training. For example, the Transportation
Cluster includes the following programs:
Automotive Technology, Auto Collision
Repair, Diesel Mechanics and Equipment
Technology and Lawn, Cycle and Marine
Mechanics.
9th and 10th graders who need further
career exploration before making a KCTC enrollment decision are
also encouraged to participate. Cluster visits encourage students
to explore a career area. Instructors provide a hands-on activity
for the students, giving them a feel for the training. Visits
last approximately 80 minutes during a designated one-week period.
Students must complete a cluster selection sheet before being
scheduled for a cluster visit.

Program Visits:
10th and 11th graders who are contemplating enrollment in a KCTC
program the following school year are encouraged to sign-up for
a program visit. Visiting students will be assigned to a specific
class for the entire visit for an in-depth look at the program.
Program visits are ongoing October through April.
