Wood Products Manufacturing Program Description - Two-Year Program The Wood Products Manufacturing Program includes "hands-on" experiences in the areas of conventional machining, CNC machining, residential cabinetmaking, assembly and finishing. Students actively participate in the design, planning and fabrication of a variety of wood products. Career exploration is accomplished through field trips, guest speakers, job shadowing and internships in the wood products industry. This program works in partnership with WoodLINKS, an industry-led, school-based program linking industry and advanced training to careers. Students meeting the necessary requirements will be eligible for the WoodLINKS National Certification test. Content Areas: Manufacturing processes

Benefits for the College Bound The Wood Products Manufacturing Program provides a student with skills beneficial to finance a college education. Upon completion of this program, a student may be eligible for advanced placement and/or college credit from post-secondary institutions, which carry manufacturing technology programs. |
