Upon completion of this program, a student may be granted advanced placement and/or college credit toward associate and bachelor degree programs with Ferris State University or Grand Rapids Community College. Credit may be granted based upon competency testing and instructor recommendation. Helpful Experience   Aptitudes High school classes in metal or wood shop, technology education and mechanical drawing Manual dexterity Mechanical ability Applied Science For Enrollment Purposes Students interested in HVACR may choose two program paths: Enroll in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Students may choose to enroll for one or two years. Enroll in Electromechanical Cluster (Electronics/Electrical Trades). The first year is an introduction to electronic and electrical concepts. If a student returns for a second year, the specialization choices are Electronics and Electrical Trades.
